Our Mission
The mission of the Boys & Girls Club of Fall River is to enable young people to reach their full potential as responsible, caring, and productive citizens.
Your Purpose
The NextGen Leadership Council’s purpose is to establish Boys & Girls Clubs of Fall River’s next generation of leaders, advocates, volunteers, and donors. Through the collective efforts of this group, funds will be raised to support BGCFR, through volunteering and contributing new energy, ideas, and talent to the organization.
The Need
The Club provides a safe and positive environment for about 1,500 members each year. Participation in Club programming leads to Academic Success, Life and Workforce Readiness, Healthy Lifestyles, and positive examples of good Character & Citizenship.
It is through community support that we can be accessible to all.
Expectations and Responsibilities
- Attend bi-monthly meetings (virtual, 6 per year) with enthusiasm and motivation to further the Club’s mission.
- Develop and help execute the 1st Annual Alumni & Friends Camp Event to increase awareness and cultivate new relationships.
- Inform the Club on best practices for reaching younger demographics and encouraging engagement and donations to the organization via social media and online platforms.
- Volunteer when available at the Club to interact and connect with the members.
- Implement aspects of the Club’s five-year Strategic Plan (2023 - 2028), through the development of the next generation of Board Leadership.
